He was born in 1939.
In 1963 he graduated from Azerbaijan State University with honors in food commodity and trade organization. In 1963-1967 he worked in his specialty by appointment. In 1967-1970 he left production and was a post-graduate student at the department of “Commodity Science of Food Products” of Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy (now Azerbaijan State University of Economics).
In 1971, he defended his dissertation at Tbilisi State University and received the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences.

After graduating from the graduate school, he worked at the Institute as a lecturer, senior lecturer, associate professor since 1976, head of the department from 2001 to 2005.
He is currently an associate professor of the department of the ” Expertise of Consumer Products”.
He has written 5 textbooks and manuals for university students majoring in food commodities, 15 methodical instructions and programs, a textbook for commodity experts “Refrigeration technology of food products” and 85 scientific articles. He is the author of 2 inventions.
