Following the laying of flower bouquets at the memorial, the students were provided with detailed information regarding the genocide perpetrated by Armenians.
The Guba Genocide Memorial Complex was established on September 18, 2013, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The complex exhibits images from various areas of Guba city and photographs that reflect the lifestyle of the population during the early 20th century.
The Guba Genocide Cemetery was uncovered on April 1, 2007, during excavation work. Subsequent research determined that the cemetery is linked to the genocide committed by Armenians against the local peaceful population in 1918.
