UNEC Women’s Volleyball Team Commences the Premier League Season with Determination
The 2025-2026 season of the Women’s Volleyball Premier League has officially commenced in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) is proudly represented in this year’s Premier League by its women’s volleyball team. Drawing inspiration from the successful athletic traditions of the world’s leading universities, UNEC aims to further strengthen its standing in university sports at both the national and international levels.
The UNEC Volleyball Team has entered the new season following intensive preparation and with a reinforced lineup. In order to enhance the team’s competitiveness, three athletes from the United States, as well as one player each from Ukraine, Belarus, and Bulgaria, have joined the squad.
The team’s head coach is the experienced Italian specialist Mr. Giovanni Torcio, whose leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in guiding the team toward a successful season.
