During the meeting held with UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, the parties discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation between the two higher education institutions. It was noted that, at the end of the previous year, a UNEC delegation visited Kyrgyzstan and held negotiations at Kyrgyz National University. As a continuation of the understandings reached during that visit, the meeting in Baku included an exchange of views on specific areas of collaboration.

Professor Adalat Muradov provided comprehensive information on UNEC’s academic opportunities, digital governance system, international partnerships, dual degree and exchange programs, as well as the university’s standing in global rankings. As an outcome of the discussions, a Memorandum of Understanding between UNEC and Kyrgyz National University was signed. The memorandum envisages student and academic staff mobility, the organization of joint conferences, the development of collaborative research projects, and the implementation of international certification programs.

In addition, an agreement was signed on the establishment of a dual master’s degree program covering the fields of Finance and Management. In accordance with the agreement, students will complete one academic year at the partner institution and, upon successful completion of the program requirements, will be awarded diplomas from both universities.

Following the signing ceremony, an informational tour of UNEC was organized for the visiting delegation, during which the guests were introduced to various structural units of the university.

Subsequently, Rector Dogdurbek Chontoyev met with UNEC students and delivered a lecture on the topic of sustainable development.
