The exhibition brought together over 1,000 inventions from more than 30 countries. Azerbaijan was represented with five innovative startup projects spanning engineering, space technologies, medicine, and agrotechnology. The projects presented by the team comprising first-year master’s students Kamran Mahmudov and Ilham Suleymanov, along with first-year bachelor’s student Muzaffar Mikayilov, were highly commended by the international jury.
The “Smart Bed System,” awarded a silver medal, introduces an advanced intelligent bed designed for use by astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS), as well as patients suffering from chronic illnesses and Alzheimer’s disease on Earth. The system employs artificial magnetic field technology rather than conventional cabling to mitigate muscle loss in microgravity environments. Additionally, it continuously monitors vital indicators such as blood pressure and oxygen levels, enabling automated medical intervention when necessary.
Another notable project, “ECHRON,” which was awarded a bronze medal, offers an innovative solution in the field of agrotechnology. The system measures soil pH levels, electrical conductivity, and moisture content, thereby enabling precise forecasting of irrigation and fertilization requirements.
It is noteworthy that this marks Azerbaijan’s first participation in this esteemed international exhibition. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, this participation represents a significant step in promoting the country’s innovative potential and advancing its presence in the global scientific and technological community.
