International Mother Language Day: International Students at UNEC Share Their Experience of Learning Azerbaijani
On the occasion of 21 February – International Mother Language Day, a meeting with foreign students was held at UNEC.
The event, organized at the initiative of the Department of International Cooperation and conducted in an interview format, aimed to examine the process of developing Azerbaijani language proficiency among international students, their everyday communication experiences, and the linguistic competencies they have acquired throughout their period of study in our country.
During the meeting, discussions addressed the words and expressions most frequently encountered and used by students in Azerbaijan, their communication experiences with academic staff and Azerbaijani peers, the challenges they have faced, and their reflections on the development of their language skills.
The international students also demonstrated their Azerbaijani speaking abilities and shared their impressions of both the academic and social dimensions of university life.
