Speaking at the event, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Professor Rovnag Rzayev, noted that JEAS covers the fields of engineering and applied sciences. He emphasized that the journal has been indexed in Scopus for three years without any remarks and highlighted that its editorial board comprises renowned scholars from around the world in these fields. Professor Rzayev also shared that a special issue of JEAS dedicated to UNEC’s 95th anniversary will be published in May.
Professor Amdulla Mehrabov from AzTU stressed the importance of universities reflecting their scientific output in international databases and acknowledged UNEC’s significant progress in this area in recent years. He described JEAS being indexed in Scopus – one of the most prestigious global databases – as a major achievement for UNEC.
In his speech, UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, underlined that indexing UNEC’s journals in international databases and encouraging student involvement in research are key objectives of the university’s development strategy. He added that UNEC continues to successfully expand the indexing of its scientific journals across various fields in global platforms. Professor Muradov also emphasized that the first student journal, coordinated by the Student Scientific Society, will serve as a significant impetus for youth engagement in scientific research and provide UNEC students with valuable opportunities to present their work on international academic platforms in the future.
