The assessment includes written and oral parts, lasting a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Answers to the ticket questions are written within 2 hours, followed by a 30-minute oral session before the examination board. Each exam ticket consists of 4 questions related to the specialty. The questions and answers must be written on the answer sheet. An additional 5th question related to the candidate’s dissertation topic will be asked orally by the committee members during the oral part and will not be written on the answer sheet. The examination committee members may also ask additional clarifying questions related to the exam ticket and the dissertation topic.
Each question is graded on a 10-point scale. The minimum passing score for the exam is 25 points.
To participate in the exams, candidates must send a signed and scanned application in PDF format, a copy of their ID card, and a copy of the official letter confirming that their dissertation topic has been approved by the Scientific Research Coordination Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan to [email protected] by June 5, 2025.
Candidates who are not UNEC doctoral students must also submit a request letter from the institution where the dissertation work is being carried out, addressed to the Rector of UNEC, along with the above documents by June 5, 2025.
Please do not forget to bring the original identification document to the venue on exam day.
