Ambassador of Kazakhstan Meets with UNEC Students

At the initiative of the Diplomacy Organization of UNEC’s Russian School of Economics, a meeting was held between students majoring in International Relations, International Trade, and Logistics and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan, Alim Bayel.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, UNEC Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Associate Professor Saadat Gandi̇lova, as well as the Director of the UNEC Russian School of Economics, Associate Professor Mansur Barkhudarov.

In his opening remarks, Mansur Barkhudarov spoke about the existing cooperation and joint projects between UNEC and higher education institutions of Kazakhstan. He emphasized that such meetings play an important role in shaping students’ international outlook and professional development.

The event was organized in a student-centered format, with primary focus placed on students’ questions. Participants addressed inquiries related to the nature of the diplomatic profession, the knowledge and competencies required to succeed in this field, as well as career opportunities in international relations and their effective utilization.

Ambassador Alim Bayel began his speech in Azerbaijani, highlighting the historical and strategic significance of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations and noting the importance of further strengthening ties between the two brotherly nations. Fluent in five languages, including Azerbaijani and Turkish, the Ambassador shared sincere insights into the daily responsibilities of a diplomat, the specifics of international negotiations, and his personal professional experience, which were received with great interest by the students.
