“The number of articles published by UNEC researchers in the Web of Science has increased 301-fold over the past 10 years. Moreover, 92% of all citations in this database (excluding self-citations) also belong to this period.
In comparison to 2015, the number of UNEC researchers’ publications in Scopus increased by 277 times in 2024, and the number of citations in Scopus rose 227-fold. Notably, 98% of these articles and 98.5% of the citations are from the last decade.”
The Rector emphasized that UNEC is among the global leaders in terms of the growth in the number of publications and citations in Web of Science and Scopus.
Following the enhancement of UNEC’s research incentive system, the number of Scopus-indexed articles doubled in 2024 compared to 2023, while the number of articles in Web of Science increased by 2.5 times.
“In 2024, 81.2% of UNEC researchers’ Scopus-indexed articles were co-authored with scientists from 123 countries, and 91% of Web of Science-indexed articles were co-authored with scientists from 108 countries,” the Rector added.
