Chess Tournament among the “ASAN Volunteers” held at UNEC
“ASAN Volunteers” held a Chess Tournament by the Youth Organization at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). The two-day tournament was devoted to a famous poet of our nation and the first woman chess player Mahsati Ganjavi. Students from various universities of the country attended the Tournament held with Olympic system.
Meetings held by UNEC’s coach of higher-grade, an International Grand master Sarhan Guliyev was marked by the intense struggle of the owners of sharp wit.
Elchin Osmanov and Nijat Vahidli met in the final stage, competed for the title of “The sharp wit”. UNEC student Elchin Osmanov won the tournament. Elvin Hashimov has won the third place in accordance with the final results of matches.
Attending the event, Deputy Director of the Human Resources and Training Department of the State Agency on Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev presented diplomas and prizes to the winners.
