Rich programmed event held at UNEC with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Azerbaijan
A rich programmed event, organized jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Azerbaijan, has been held at UNEC.
The event was attended by Mr. Ambassador Hossan Bey Fananie (Dr Hossan Bey Fananie), Chairman of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation Elshad Iskandarov and other guests. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani diplomacy, the right of citizens of the states, members of Organization of Islamic Cooperation to study at the expense of educational grants in Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, Elshad Iskandarov, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Special Affairs, Chairman of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation Elshad Iskandarov spoke about the formation of the word “nation” as an ethnic term. The speaker touched upon various pages of history of Azerbaijan, including the pages of the formation of Azerbaijan in the North- East of the Urmia Lake, the Arabian Caliphate, the creation of Aqqoyunlu state, Tsarist Russia, Atropatena state. E. Iskenderov told about the struggle of the Azerbaijani people to protect their national identity during the Soviet era and answered the questions of the students.
Delivering a speech at the event, Ambassador Hossan Bey Fananie touched upon the fact that Indonesia was in the forefront of economic development among Asian countries. The ambassador spoke about the fraternal relations between Indonesia and Azerbaijan, brotherly cities of Jakarta and Baku, and the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries. Expressing his love for Azerbaijani culture and traditions, the ambassador expressed his special appreciation for national dishes. Acknowledging his love for Azerbaijan, the ambassador answered the students′ questions.
At the event continued with a rich program, Mr. H.Fananie played the folk song of Azerbaijan “Sari gelin”, the well-known, great song “Azerbailan” the lyrics by Nabi Khazri, Polad Bulbuloglu’s song “Gel ey seher” on the piano.
The event was warmly welcomed by the students.
