The event was attended by UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov; Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Professor Rovnag Rzayev; as well as members of the university’s academic staff.
The Engineering and Applied Sciences and Finance and Auditing chairs were recognized for having the highest number of publications indexed in Scopus in 2024. The Business Management chair was acknowledged for producing the highest number of scientific articles in journals ranked in the Q1 quartile of the CiteScore category. Additionally, the Economics chair was distinguished for the highest number of publications co-authored with international collaborators in Scopus during the same year.
In his remarks, Rector Professor Adalat Muradov extended his gratitude to the staff who actively contributed to the organization of the Science Festival and wished them continued success in their future academic endeavors.
He also noted that UNEC has emerged as a global leader in the increasing number of articles and citations published in Scopus and Web of Science. Furthermore, the rector shared detailed insights into ongoing projects at UNEC aimed at the digitalization of scientific research.
Following the presentations, the faculty members expressed their sincere appreciation for the recognition and thanked the university leadership for their continued support.
The ceremony concluded with Professor Adalat Muradov presenting Certificates of Appreciation to the distinguished chairs.
