The memorandum was signed between UNEC and the Atılım University
The rector of Turkish Atılım University, professor Yıldırım Uchtug visited the Azerbaijan State Economics University (UNEC).
The opportunities for coopertaion between the two universities were discussed in the meeting held with the participation of the pro-rector of the UNEC on Educational and Training Technologies, the associate profesor Anar Rzayev, the relevant structural managers and the representatives of the university.
In the meeting, A.Rzayev provided the detailed information about the UNEC and noted that, the expansion of the international relations was one of the the strategic targets of the university. He emphasized that, the UNEC was implementing the dual degree diploma programs and cooperating with the leading universities in the world and was interested in expanding the relations with Turkish universities in this direction. He underlined that, the UNEC was the only higher educational institution in the country teaching in Ottoman Turkish language.
The professor Yıldırım Uchtug visiting Azerbaijan with the purpose of providing the tranings for the academic-teaching staff at the Winter School, organized in the UNEC Guba Training, Sport and Recreation Center expressed his satisfaction of visiting UNEC. The rector, stressing that, he had observed the high pegagogical potential of the academic–teaching staff during the trainings, said that the exchange of experiences with UNEC would be beneficial for the both universities. The rector gave the brief information about Atılım university. He noted that, within the short period of opertaing it had gained the considerable positions in the QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia rankings, and in the “Times Higher Education World University Ranking”.
Then, the memorandum of cooperation was signed between the UNEC and the Atılım University. According to the memorandum,the teacher-student exchanges, design and development of programs, conducting the joint research, holding the international coferences and the cooperation in other areas between the two universities are envisaged.
After the meeting, the rector Y.Uchtug got acquainted with the campus of UNEC, material-technical basis, UNEC Extern Center, and 24/7 library.
