Cooperation between UNEC and Istanbul Technical University is being expanded
A delegation led by Prof. Mehmet Karaca, rector of Istanbul Technical University (İTU), visited UNEC.
During the meeting with UNEC rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, the guests were informed about the university. It was noted that UNEC is the only university in the region, which trains students in four languages, including Turkish. Speaking about UNEC dual diploma programes with leading universities of the US, England, France, Switzerland and Lithuania on bachelor’s, master’s degree and on MBA, the rector expressed his interest in cooperation with Turkey universities in this direction.
A.Muradov informed the guests that along with economical specialities, as well as technical and technological specialities were being taught at UNEC. Speaking about the activities of UNEC Extern Center, the rector said there were 20,000 students in the center who could be provided with distance education.
Expressing his satisfaction with being at UNEC, Prof. Mehmet Karaca spoke about the education opportunities of Istanbul Technical University on bachelor, master’s and PhD levels.
Cooperation opportunities between UNEC and İTU were discussed at the meeting. The two universities have agreed to carry out a double diploma program for the master’s degree and to train young teachers of UNEC for PhD studies at İTU. At the same time, the UNEC Extern Center hosted an exchange of views on the implementation of a joint certificate program with Istanbul Technical University, teachers- students exchange, joint scientific conferences, and publication of textbooks.
