UNEC and Kyrgyz State Technical University Agree to Expand Bilateral Cooperation

As part of its official mission to the Kyrgyz Republic, the delegation of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) continued its series of institutional meetings with a visit to Kyrgyz State Technical University (KSTU) on the second day of the trip.

The delegation comprised Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Associate Professor Saadat Gandilova, Scientific Secretary Arabiyya Mustafayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting Associate Professor Hafis Hajiyev, Head of the Department of Finance and Audit Professor Avaz Alakbarov, Head of the Internal Audit Department Associate Professor Rashad Muradov, and Head of the Public Relations Department Elnara Omarova. The UNEC representatives were received by KSTU Vice-Rector Jyrgalbek Sydykov and senior administrators of the university.

During the meeting, both institutions delivered comprehensive presentations outlining their academic profiles, strategic development priorities, performance in international rankings, and ongoing cooperation with global partners. The sides conducted an in-depth exchange of views on the prospects for strengthening bilateral academic relations.

As a result of the discussions, the parties reached a broad understanding on expanding cooperation in several key areas, including faculty and student mobility, joint research and co-authored publications, and the publication of research articles by Kyrgyz scholars in UNEC’s Scopus-indexed scientific journals. Additional avenues for collaboration in research, innovation, and academic development were also identified.

Upon conclusion of the meeting, the UNEC delegation visited KSTU’s engineering laboratories and familiarized themselves with the activities and infrastructural capacities of the university’s student engagement and support center.
