The primary objectives of the visit include enhancing the quality of education, promoting research, exploring the application of modern educational technologies (EdTech), learning from the experience of Chinese universities in the field of innovation, establishing mutually beneficial partnerships, and attracting Chinese youth to study at UNEC.
On the first day of the visit, the UNEC delegation visited Northwest Normal University (NWNNU) in Lanzhou. With a student body of over 31,000 and one of the leading MBA programs in China, NWNNU discussed several areas of collaboration with UNEC. As a result of these discussions, an agreement was reached on joint training programs in MBA, economics, and management, the implementation of the “CFA Talents” project, and the initiation of student and faculty exchange programs.
The UNEC delegation also held meetings at Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics (LUFE). Following comprehensive discussions, a dual degree agreement was signed between UNEC and LUFE.
As part of the visit, with the participation of UNEC rector professor Adalat Muradov, the China-Azerbaijan Education Cooperation Center was inaugurated at LUFE. The center aims to facilitate the exchange of innovations in higher education, foster cooperation in the implementation of advanced educational technologies, and promote knowledge sharing on digital and smart education initiatives between the two universities.
One of the most significant developments of the visit was the opening of UNEC’s official representative office in Lanzhou. The mission of this office is to promote UNEC among Chinese students, encourage them to pursue their education at the university, and raise awareness of UNEC’s academic advantages. At the opening ceremony, the head of UNEC’s Lanzhou office, Dr. Renying Li, was officially introduced to the participants.
