UNEC Delegation in Kyrgyzstan: Expanding Cooperation with Manas University

A delegation from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) is on an official working visit to Kyrgyzstan to broaden inter-university cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities.

On the first day of the visit, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Associate Professor Saadat Gandilova, Academic Secretary Arabiya Mustafayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting Associate Professor Hafiz Hajiyev, Head of the Department of Finance and Audit Professor Avaz Alakbarov, Head of the Internal Audit Department Associate Professor Rashad Muradov, and Head of the Public Relations Department Elnara Omarova visited Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.

The meeting was held with the support and participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, Latif Gandilov. During the meeting with the Rector of Manas University, Prof. Dr. Alparslan Jeylan, the parties discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation, implementation of joint projects, and opportunities for academic exchange.

Ambassador Latif Gandilov emphasized the significant role of cooperation among higher education institutions in strengthening friendship and partnership ties among Turkic-speaking countries. He expressed confidence that the collaboration between UNEC, one of Azerbaijan’s leading universities, and Manas University would make substantial contributions to both education and research spheres.

Subsequently, with the participation of Manas University’s deans and relevant structural units, extensive discussions were held on teacher and student mobility, academic cooperation, dual degree programs, joint scientific publications, and other areas of mutual interest.

The parties reached a mutual agreement to formalize the cooperation through the signing of a memorandum.

As part of the visit, the UNEC delegation also participated in an international symposium organized by Manas University.

During the symposium, which brought together representatives of higher education institutions from several Turkic-speaking countries, Associate Professor Saadat Gandilova and Professor Avaz Alakbarov provided participants with information on UNEC’s digital teaching and governance model, educational environment, and international cooperation opportunities.
