At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Song Kuok Thong, representing Nilai University, delivered introductory remarks in his capacity as moderator, providing participants with detailed information regarding the university’s organisational structure, academic model, and global partnership portfolio.
Subsequently, Professor DATO Dr. Azhar Ismail, Vice President of Nilai University, welcomed the UNEC delegation and delivered a comprehensive presentation on the university’s academic programmes, research endeavours, scientific publications, and innovation development strategy.
During the meeting, UNEC Rector Professor Adalat Muradov addressed the participants, sharing his perspectives on the application of artificial intelligence in education, the role of digital transformation in university governance, and the responsibilities of higher education institutions in an increasingly digital global environment. Both parties underscored that these domains present substantial potential for future cooperation. Following the presentations, the sides held in-depth discussions on prospects for collaboration, including the development of joint academic programmes, faculty and student mobility initiatives, as well as joint projects in the fields of digital economics and artificial intelligence.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding was formally signed between UNEC and Nilai University.
After the signing ceremony, an informational tour of Nilai University was organised for the UNEC delegation. The delegation was acquainted with the university’s physical and technological infrastructure, laboratory facilities, social programmes, and the learning environment created for students.
