The last Scientific Council meeting of the\n2022\/2023 academic year was held at UNEC.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

At the Academic Council, Nasimi Ismayilov,\nvice-rector for economic issues, presented a report on the results of UNEC’s\nfinancial and economic activities in 2022. The report stated that, as every\nyear, in 2022, the main directions of UNEC’s financial and economic activity\nwill be the effective use of financial resources, further improvement of the\nsocial condition of employees, increasing efficiency in the management of\nscientific, educational and economic processes, material and technical base.\norganized works in the direction of further strengthening.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Then the vice-rector for digitization,\nassociate professor Ragif Gasimov, spoke about the “rules for organizing\neducation in the form of distance education at UNEC”. He stated that the\npurpose of preparing the rules is to take advantage of the advantages of the\ndistance education form, which is considered to be the challenge of the modern\nera in ensuring accessibility and efficiency in higher education, and on the\nbasis of the Education legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the\nbachelor’s level of higher education and additional education in UNEC, retraining,\nrepeated higher education, and at the same time various organization and\nregulation of distance education for certificate programs.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The report and Rules were approved by the\ncouncil members after hearing.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

Current issues were discussed in the\nScientific Council and a number of decisions were made. According to the\ndecision, the Eurasian Economy International Scientific Research Center was\nestablished at UNEC together with St. Petersburg State University of Economics\nof Russia.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

With another decision, the Center for\nInternational Master’s and Doctoral studies became an Institute.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

The Department of “Foreign\nLanguages” was abolished, and the Department of Foreign Languages was\nestablished on its basis. The department will have a center for teaching\nforeign languages, a center for evaluating students’ knowledge of foreign\nlanguages, and a translation center.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p>

The Council of Student Rectors of UNEC was\nestablished in order to further expand the connection of UNEC student rectors\nwith the university after graduation and to form a network of student rectors.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
