Moreover, 92% of all citations in this database (excluding self-citations) also belong to this period.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In comparison to 2015, the number of UNEC researchers\u2019 publications in Scopus increased by 277 times in 2024, and the number of citations in Scopus rose 227-fold. Notably, 98% of these articles and 98.5% of the citations are from the last decade.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Rector emphasized that UNEC is among the global leaders in terms of the growth in the number of publications and citations in Web of Science and Scopus.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Following the enhancement of UNEC\u2019s research incentive system, the number of Scopus-indexed articles doubled in 2024 compared to 2023, while the number of articles in Web of Science increased by 2.5 times.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIn 2024, 81.2% of UNEC researchers\u2019 Scopus-indexed articles were co-authored with scientists from 123 countries, and 91% of Web of Science-indexed articles were co-authored with scientists from 108 countries,\u201d the Rector added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the opening ceremony of the Science Festival held at UNEC, Rector Professor Adalat Muradov highlighted the university\u2019s recent scientific accomplishments: \u201cThe number of articles published by UNEC researchers in the Web of Science has increased 301-fold over the past 10 years.
