A new step has been taken in the digital transformation of scientific activity at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC<\/a><\/span>).<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\r\n

The presentation of the AVES\u0130S (Academic Data Management System) platform, a system designed to collect and analyze scientific data through an integrated management interface, was held at the university.<\/p>\r\n

At the event, Professor Adem Kal\u0131nl\u0131 from the Middle East Technical University (METU), T\u00fcrkiye, delivered a detailed presentation on the functionality of the platform and its application in research management processes. He noted that the AVES\u0130S platform is a multifunctional management system developed for collecting, organizing, and managing information related to the academic staff\u2019s scientific activities at UNEC. Through the platform, data on the university staff\u2019s research papers, citations, projects, patents, and other academic indicators will be consolidated in a single database, enabling real time monitoring of scientific potential.<\/p>\r\n

The new system will enhance data driven decision making at UNEC and ensure a more transparent and efficient evaluation of scientific results. Furthermore, AVES\u0130S will serve as an important tool for strengthening the university\u2019s position in international rankings and aligning its research management practices with global standards.<\/p>\r\n

In his remarks, Professor Adem Kal\u0131nl\u0131 emphasized that the digitalization of scientific activity has become an integral component of modern university management systems:<\/p>\r\n

\u201cThis platform allows universities to monitor not only the outcomes but also the entire process of scientific activity. Through AVES\u0130S, the analysis of research indicators, mapping of staff performance, and formulation of strategic decisions can be carried out more effectively.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, highlighted that digitalization accelerates the adoption of modern approaches in research management, enabling data to be handled transparently, measurably, and analytically. He emphasized that implementing the platform will increase the international visibility and recognition of UNEC\u2019s scientific activity, facilitate the integration of research outcomes into the global academic space, and significantly contribute to strengthening the university\u2019s position in international scientific rankings.<\/p>\r\n
