Winner of the elections for the \u201cStudent rector\u201d at Azerbaijan State University of Economics have been determined recently. A second-year undergraduate student of the School of Business Administration Javanshir Asadov became \u201cStudent Rector\u201d within a year with 601 votes as a result of the secret ballot held among 15 candidates. I meet with the winner of the interesting project and interview him at the main building of ASUE.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was born on December 25 1995 in Baku. After finishing the educational complex 132-134 and enrolled to the School of Business Administration of Azerbaijan State University of Economics in 2013. He is the active participant of the activities held in the university. He is the organizer of several projects and the winner of tournaments. He was the author and participant of the best project of ASUE \u201cBuznesdar\u201d. He is the winner of the competition \u201cStudent and Industry\u201d held within the framework of the \u201cYear of Industry\u201d in 2014. He goes in for sports. Football and automobiles are among his special interests. He\u2019s fond of reading books on Economics and Politics. He likes to search in the Internet.<\/span><\/p>\n

– How did you decide to be a Student rector?<\/span>
\n– On January 26 of the year, as they announced about the elections I decided to participate. I asked my group mates if they would support me. They answered in affirmative. The elections\u2019 campaign went on for two weeks. I tried to take as much propaganda as I could.<\/span>
\n– Who supported your PR campaign?<\/span>
\n– If suitable, I want to mention. Javid, from our faculty, Orkhan, Jamal, Jale, Baba and others, from my group. They did their best. We held meetings in all training buildings in accordance with the rules; promoted by means of social network. We had worked 8-9 hours a day. The result was 601 votes.<\/span>
\n– Did you expect?<\/span>
\n– Of course; we tried a lot. It should be this way. I was among the three candidates after 5-6 days of campaign. I believed that I would gain.<\/span>
\n– What kind of activities will you perform?<\/span>
\n– I am in charge of this position within a year. Although I don\u2019t have exact direction of my activities, but information on my authorities have already been provided. I\u2019ve determined the approximate list of my activities.<\/span>
\n– Did students ask you about anything after you\u2019ve elected?<\/span>
\n– I received lots of comments and suggestions. I\u2019ll try to pay attention to each of them. I hope my friends to be by my side, as they did before; this way we shall overcome every task.<\/span>
\n– What do you plan?<\/span>
\n– First of all, I gave some promises. I have to perform them. Students\u2019 suggestions and comments will be taken into account. To establish some structural bodies, such as Student Parliament, took place in my platform.<\/span>
\n– What other clauses are there in your platform.<\/span>
\n– Beside the Student Parliament, there is an educational credit. It will be given to the students who cannot afford tuition fee, under certain conditions. And they will, in turn, return them within certain period after the graduation. We\u2019ve also planned to realize student internship programs within contracts with some private companies. There also state-owned companies, that have been mentioned in our platform. They are executive powers and municipalities that will provide students with the duties they perform.<\/span>
\n– What aspects of the students\u2019 social life do you pay attention to?<\/span>
\n– We shall try to join students to social affairs. We shall realize some social activities to make students spend more spare time at the university.<\/span>
\n– Now, I want to know about your future plans.<\/span>
\n– I want to take my graduate education on MBA-Master of Business Administration in Great Britain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Student Rector was in a hurry for some event, so I thank him and leave the university.<\/span><\/p>\n
