Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), Professor Adalat Muradov met with the newly admitted UNEC students who scored more than 600 points. Congratulating the freshmen with becoming students, Rector thanked them for choosing UNEC and wished them success in education. A.Muradov spoke about UNEC\u2019s targets: \u201cThe main task set before us by the President of the Republic Mr. Ilham Aliyev is to transform the University of Economics in a world- class university\u201d. Rector also spoke about the achievements gained by UNEC recently: \u201cUNEC is the only higher education institution which is considered the biggest economy- oriented educational institution of the region provides training in four languages. At the same time it is the first public university possessing the international certificate ISO 9001:2008 \u201cQuality Management System\u201d. The new quality standard of teaching an \u201cElectronic University\u201d model is being applied here. Rector provided the students about the double diploma programs. He also noted that UNEC implements student exchange with more than 100 prestigious universities of the world. He said 28 UNEC students will continue their education in the leading universities of 6 countries in a new academic year.<\/p>\n
Rector underlined that a serious growth in the number of enrolled students to UNEC with high points was achieved in compare with previous years: \u201cFortunately, 290 entrants with 600 points and further have chosen UNEC this year. This figure was 93 in 2014\/2015 academic year, 49 in 2013\/2014. There are 6 Presidential scholars among the students enrolled to UNEC in a new academic year\u201d. Mentioning about the Scholarship Program of UNEC, Rector said that each student enrolled to UNEC with more than 600 points will get 100 AZN in addition to their scholarship the first term of the academic year. In addition 15 students achieving the best result at the exams on each course will get the excellent student\u2019s scholarship without the faculty distinction.<\/p>\n
A.Muradov informed the students about the projects \u201cYoung Teaching Staff\u201d and \u201cYoung Professors\u201d realized at UNEC: \u201cAbout 200 alumni of the prestigious world universities have been involved to UNEC within two years. I\u2019m confident they will provide their support in your scientific- researches\u201d.<\/p>\n
