The opening ceremony of XIX Republic Scientific Conference of PhD Students and Young Researchers was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics on 7 April.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov, President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Akif Alizade, Heads of Higher Education Institutions, and well-known scientists of our Republic, PhD students and young researchers participated in the opening ceremony of the conference organized by the Ministry of Education.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Conference dedicated to the 70th<\/sup> Anniversary of the NAS will last for two days. 414 theses from 20 higher education institutions and the NAS were submitted to the Conference. Well-known scientists are to run 15 sections established for the listening and discussion of the reports by the PhD students and young researchers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Making an opening speech, Rector of the University of Economics, Dr Adalat Muradov greeted the participants. He highlighted the significance of expanding the relations between the scientific research institutions and higher schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov spoke about the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev\u2019s care provided to the development of education, science and talented children and young people in Azerbaijan and stressed this work to be successfully continued by the Presidents of the country Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The Minister noted that the role of the science and education is increasing rapidly in an era of strengthening global competition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mikayil Jabbarov emphasized the importance of using all resources for the development of young researchers. Stressing to the corresponding work in this direction the Minister pointed that about 50 percent of the scientists in our country are being employed in 27 high schools and scientific-research institutions included to the system of the Ministry of Education: \u201cThere is no science without the education, no education without science. It\u2019s time for the transition to the optimal knowledge from the traditional maximum philosophy of scientific knowledge. We should search for teaching techniques in the education system of practical scientific knowledge\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Referring to the number of young teachers in the today\u2019s education system, the Minister said that one of the duties before us is increasing the number of them and improving the quality.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mikayil Jabbarov noted the development of the special program for the increasing the number of young scientists and researchers in the higher education institutions and increasing their role as well. The program is to determine mid-term and long-term targets of state-owned educational institutions. The Minister stressed that the involvement of young employees to science in the universities and their appointment to any position is to be implemented in a systemized way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted in his speech that the young scholars who completed investigations abroad are better to continue teaching experience in the higher institutions of our country.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the summary of his speech the Minister expressed his gratitude to more than 10 thousand volunteers who add their contributions to the I European Games to be implemented in a high level and noted that this successful even will be presentation of great responsibility on their shoulders.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President of the NAS Akif\u00a0 Alizade emphasized the significance of the reforms held in science; he noted the cooperation between the scientific research centers and educational institutions to be expanded further more. Noting to the existence of enough strong scientific potential in Azerbaijan, the Head of the NAS of Azerbaijan expressed the confidence for this potential in the coming years to become more powerful: \u201cVery strong and young elite group of scientists are to be established in Azerbaijan. This elite group will successfully manage the Azerbaijani science for the next decades\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then the PhD students\u2019 reports were heard. The event went on with sections.<\/span><\/p>\n
