The Summer School program provides a great opportunity to explore new topics regarding Azerbaijani multiculturalism and benefit from Azerbaijani experience to make a progress in the study of multiculturalism in general.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What are the goals of the Summer School?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Summer School aims to bring together students who have passed the course \u201cAzerbaijani Multiculturalism\u201d at their respective universities. Along with the interactive lectures on different aspects of Azerbaijani multiculturalism, the participants will be given an opportunity to experience the realities of Azerbaijan while having chance to travel to regions, where they can explore customs and traditions of different ethnic and religious groups. In general, we can identify the following main goals of the course:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>providing theoretical and practical knowledge about Azerbaijani multiculturalism;<\/li>\n<li>raising awareness about the university course \u201cAzerbaijani Multiculturalism\u201d;<\/li>\n<li>bringing together all students and researchers who are scholarly and practically interested in multiculturalism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course \u201cAzerbaijani Multiculturalism\u201d has already been delivered at the following universities around the world:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sapienza University in Rome \u2013 \u0130taly<\/li>\n<li>Wroclaw University \u2013 Poland<\/li>\n<li>Charles University in Prague \u2013 The Czech Republic<\/li>\n<li>University of Educational Sciences \u2013 Lithuania<\/li>\n<li>Ural Federal University \u2013 Russia<\/li>\n<li>Sofia University \u2014 Bulgaria<\/li>\n<li>Tbilisi State University \u2013 Georgia<\/li>\n<li>Belarus State University \u2013 Belarus<\/li>\n<li>Fribourg University \u2013 Switzerland<\/li>\n<li>Poltava University of Economics and Trade \u2013 Ukraine<\/li>\n<li>Erciyes University \u2013 Turkey<\/li>\n<li>Lusofona University of Humanities and Technologies \u2013 Portugal<\/li>\n<li>Augsburg University \u2013 Germany<\/li>\n<li>Gadjah Mada University \u2013 \u0130ndonesia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>How will you benefit from the Summer School?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While getting knowledge about Azerbaijani multiculturalism, students will also obtain practical experience which can help them to understand better some key points in the study of Azerbaijani multiculturalism. Summer school also provides students with the unique opportunity to collect useful materials regarding Azerbaijani history, culture and ethnography. In addition, participants will be offered such activities as sports, sightseeing and leisure.<\/p>\n<p>Students are expected to share their experience gained during the Summer School with the students of their universities and other universities in their countries and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Participants who will successfully complete the program receive certificates at the end of the Summer School.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Who can apply?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Undergraduate, graduate and PhD students aged 18-35, academically motivated, fluent in English, who are willing to broaden their knowledge and are eager to learn the model of Azerbaijani multiculturalism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:\u00a0<\/strong>All students are eligible to participate in the Summer School\u00a0but\u00a0the preference will be given to those who have attended the \u201cAzerbaijani Multiculturalism\u201d course.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Requirements<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The main criterion for selection is the applicant\u2019s success in writing an essay (not less than 400 words)<\/p>\n<p>We offer the following topics for applicants\u2019 own choice:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Multiculturalism and \u201cBaku Process\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Azerbaijani Model of Multiculturalism in Comparison with Other Models in the world<\/li>\n<li>Ethnic Diversity in Azerbaijan<\/li>\n<li>How Azerbaijani Multiculturalism Is Viewed from Your Country<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deadline for submission is May 31, 2017.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0Fees<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All expenses\u00a0<strong>(except visa and insurance)<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 travel, accommodation and meals will be covered by Baku International Centre of Multiculturalism.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Apply now!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are ready to explore a new world, click this \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"http:\/\/cdn.multikulturalizm.gov.az\/2017\/04\/I-nternational-Summer-School-Program.docx\">link<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and fill in the application form.<\/p>\n<p>*Filled application forms and essays must be sent to <span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"mailto:2015multiculturalism@gmail.com\">2015multiculturalism@gmail.com<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and email subject line must be formatted as follows: SS2017<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Kindly note that your application will only be considered if:<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Your application documents are in PDF format.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Your passport copy is attached.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Dear Applicant!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Because of the large number of applications we usually receive, we will only contact those candidates who have been selected for the Skype interview.
