The Faculty of Engineering of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) along with UNEC Student Trade Union Committee visited the grave of our martyred graduate Bahruz Mammadov in Khaldan village of Yevlakh region.
Associate Professor Ilham Seydaliyev, Deputy Dean of the Engineering Faculty of UNEC, Elsever Farzaliyev, Associate Professor of the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nijat Rahimov, representative of the faculty’s THIK, as well as Bahruz Mammadov’s guardian, aunt Rahila Mammadova, his relatives, residents of the village paid tribute to the memory of the martyr.
Docent Ilham Seydaliyev spoke at the martyr’s grave and said that as citizens of a victorious country, we owe it to martyrs and veterans like Bahruz to proudly celebrate the Victory Day and emphasized that their blood did not remain on the ground thanks to the intelligence, political will and foresight of our Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Shahid’s group mates shared their memories of Bahruz at the memorial service. Then the UNEC team participated in the commemoration ceremony organized at Bahruz Mammadov’s house, they shared their memories of the martyr with Rahila Mammadova, Bahruz’s aunt, and Azer Mammadov, uncle. Rahila Mammadova expressed her gratitude to UNEC management for always remembering Bahruz, who was dear to her like a child.
On September 28, 2020, Bahruz Mammadov was called up from Yevlakh District Military Commissariat with partial mobilization, and on October 5, he went to the war zone. He participated in the battles in Fuzuli, Khojavand, Hadrut and Gubadli. On November 5, 2020, he was martyred in Dashalti village during the battles for Shusha. Bahruz Mammadov was buried in Khaldan village of Yevlakh district. He was posthumously awarded the “For the Fatherland”, “For the Liberation of Fuzuli” and “Brave Warrior” medals.
