Professor Karimov Asif Mati

Kerimov Asif Mati oghlu was born on March 19 1931 in Fizuli village of Fizuli region.
Within 1940-1950 he got his secondary education.
In 1950 he entered the School of Finance- credit of the Azerbaijan Institute of the National Economy named after K. Marx and graduated from in 1954 with honors.
In the years of 1954-1957 he was a post graduate student of the Financial Institute of Moscow.
In 1957 A.M.Kerimov was appointed a teaching staff of the Department of Finance and Credit of the Azerbaijan Institute of the National Economy named after K. Marx by the Ministry of Education of USSR.
In 1959 he became a teaching staff at the Department of Finance and Credit of the School of Economics of the Azerbaijan State University named after K.Marx.
He defended the Candidate’s paper at the Economic Statistical Institute of Moscow in 1961.

In 1966 Kerimov became an Assistant Professor of the Department of Finance and Credit of the Azerbaijan Institute of the National Economy.
Within 1968-1969 he was a Deputy Dean of the School of Finance-credit.
In 1969-1974 he was a Dean of the Evening education of the Azerbaijan Institute of the National Economy.
In 1983-2006 he became a Head of the Department Finance after its division from the Finance–credit, in 2007-2008 he served as a Deputy Head of the Department.
A.M.Kerimov has been the author of more than 100 scientific works within his academic period.
He is the member of the Scientific Council, the Scientific Council of the School of Finance and the editorial staff of the magazine “Finance and Accounting” of the University.
Currently he is a Professor of the Department of Finance.
Kerimov is married, has got two children and 5 grand children.
