He was born in 1949 in Ganja.
In 1966, he left Ganja City Secondary School No. 1.
In 1972, he graduated from Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute (now Azerbaijan State Agrarian University) with a degree in engineering and technology.
In 1974-1977 he was a postgraduate student at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Viticulture and Enology “Magarach” (former All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Viticulture and Enology “Magarach”).
In 1979 he defended his dissertation. He is a candidate of technical sciences.

In 1977-1980 he worked as a senior researcher at the Azerbaijan Scientific Research Institute.
From 1981 to 2000 he worked at the Azerbaijan Institute of Technology (now the Azerbaijan University of Technology) as an assistant, associate professor, dean of the faculty “Technology of canning and winemaking”, vice-rector for educational affairs of the institute.
From 2000 to 2020 he worked as an associate professor of “Food Technology” at Azerbaijan State University of Economics.
He is currently an associate professor at the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences, UNEC.
He is the author of 83 scientific-methodical works.
