PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Valiyev Anar Jumshud
He was born on May 4, 1978, in Garagaji village of Tartar region.
In 1995, he finished the Republican Lyceum of Physics, Mathematics and Informatics.
He entered Azerbaijan State Institute of Economics in 1995 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management in 1999 and a master’s degree in 2003 majoring in Management of production systems.
From 1999-to 2000 he served in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
İn 2014 on the 24th of January he defended his PhD thesis on”Problems of corporate governance and improving the competitiveness of business organizations” at the Dissertation Council, D.02.052 in the Scientific Research Institute of Economic Research under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics where theses on the degree of Doctor of Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy are held. He was awarded the PhD degree in Economics by the decision of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 14.10.2014 (protocol №25-K).
Since 2011 he has been working as a part-time teacher at the department of Management, from 2015-to 2017 as a full-time teacher, since 2017 as a part-time senior lecturer, and since 2019 as a full-time associate professor.

From 2017-to 2019, he worked as a senior specialist in the Department of Socio-Economic and Technical Sciences of the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 2019-to 2021, he worked in the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, as a sector manager in the Department for Assistance in Organizing Self-Employment and Employment, and in the Projects Department in the International Relations and Projects Department.
Since 2018, he has been a part-time PhD student in the department of Management of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, he continues his research on “Problems of improving corporate governance mechanisms in the context of globalization.”
Since 2021, he has been working as a Quality Control Specialist of the State Radio Frequencies Department, Internal Control and Audit Department of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
Married and has two children.
