The memorial complex of Martyr Mursal Kazimli was inaugurated
The opening ceremony of the monument complex built by the Surakhani District Executive Authority was held in order to perpetuate the name of UNEC graduate Mursal Kazimli, who rose to the peak of martyrdom in the Patriotic War.
At the event, the leadership of the District Executive Authority, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of UNEC, Assoc. Hafis Hajiyev, members of UNEC Student Trade Union Committee and students and other guests participated.
The speakers at the opening ceremony spoke about the historical significance of the 44-day Patriotic War fought by our victorious army under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief, and about the heroism of our sons. They said that keeping the names of the martyrs alive and cherishing their memory is the most sacred duty, and the opening of the memorial complex named after Mursal Kazimli serves this purpose.
Hafis Hajiyev, the dean of the faculty and the martyr’s teacher, shared his memories of Mursal Kazimli and said that he was forever remembered as an educated, capable, and patriotic young man.
Then the monument complex was opened.
