To stimulate the development of non-oil sector in Azerbaijan and to give this sector liberty, more liberal condition must be created for them. Rector of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Professor Adalat Muradov said these words to Trend.
According to the Rector, the various activities are carried out at different stages of economic development, one of which is devaluation: “Without a doubt, there will be certain situations at an early stage. However all of them are the negatives that can be prevented. I think the government has enough tools to minimize the negative effects”.
Muradov said non-oil sectors established in previous periods allows neutralizing the negative effects in the short term: “Devaluation is a reaction to the developments in the economy. Now it has already reacted, now the economy is going to response the devaluation. I suppose the devaluation is an inevitable measure in terms of the future development of Azerbaijan. Eventually, Azerbaijan will positively affect in terms of restoration of macroeconomic stability, stimulate local production and increasing competitiveness of imported goods in the non- oil sector”.
