The first visit to the University: Pupils become familiar with UNEC
The upper class pupils of some Baku schools have visited Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on January 27.
Firstly, the schoolchildren have paid a visit to the Memorial Complex erected in martyrs’ honor at UNEC.
Getting acquainted with the winter exam session of UNEC pupils were informed about the organization and rules of the process. They were introduced the SABAH Groups, the International School of Economics, Financial Exchange Lab, Virtual Enterprise, Innovative Business Incubator and Student Organizations. The schoolchildren were provided with the information about the management of UNEC through the innovative methods and the importance of conversion the university into digitalized university in cadres’ development to meet the up- to- date requirements. The Free Internet Zone and Library service of the University and the e-library system caused the interest by the pupils. They were informed about the role of online radio of the university Radio UNEC and the Creative Center in arranging the students’ spare time. Information about UNEC’s history, its new trade mark, corporate image, well-known alumni, Honorary Doctors, Schools, majors, international affairs and discipline rules were delivered.
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov provided the schoolchildren with the information about the university and the affairs implemented to improve the quality of education; he spoke about the conditions created for the students to choose the University of Economics in future. They were delivered the information about the internal scholarship programs intended for the best students.
The pupils in turn asked Adalat Muradov the questions about the double diploma programs, the opportunity of getting dual degree and the opportunities to be created by the university to arrange the students’ extra occupation in addition to the course and their spare time.
The upper classes’ schoolchildren from the Republic Humanitarian Gymnasium named after A.S.Makarenko, Republic Humanitarian Gymnasium named after S.J.Pishevery Republic Lyceum of Chemistry and Biology biased, Lyceum named after the Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and the Education Complex number 132-134 who are interested in economics joined the event. The meeting took place under the project “Knowledge should be assessed transparently and objective” held within the winter exam session at UNEC. It should be noted that in accordance with the Education Minister’s order about the “Organization and Implementation of the Exam Session” the education experts, the representatives of NGO and parents have followed the winter exam session held at UNEC up to date. And the journalists became the inspectors of the exam process.
