Aziz Sanjar, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry, honorary professor of UNEC, visited UNEC as part of his visit to Baku.
Nobel laureate Aziz Sanjar met with researchers at the Food Safety Laboratory named after Aziz Sanjar, established at the university together with UNEC rector Professor Adalat Muradov.
Aziz Sanjar shared his impressions with them: “I visited Azerbaijan for the first time in 2017 at the invitation of Mr. Adalat Muradov. During that period, I had very useful and interesting meetings with teachers and students. In 2021, I participated in the opening of the laboratory where we are now. The creation of such a laboratory at UNEC is particularly important for researchers and students. Laboratories for quality scientific research and research are indispensable. Young people should value this opportunity created for them to the maximum extent.”
The researchers expressed their great pride in meeting the Nobel laureate Professor Aziz Sanjar and addressed their questions about science, education and research to the world-famous Turkish scientist.
After answering the questions, Professor Aziz Sancar signed his book “Life and Knowledge in the Pen of Aziz Sanjar” and presented it to UNEC.
Aziz Sanjar’s visit to UNEC continued with a sincere and interesting exchange of ideas and discussions over a tea table with the participation of Rector Prof. Adalat Muradov, deans and heads of structures.
