Agil Mirzaliyev was born on August 27, 1999, in the Ismayilli district. He studied at the I. Hasanov Secondary School No. 1 in Ismayilli from 2005 to 2016. Throughout his school years, Agil consistently distinguished himself with his intellectual abilities, winning numerous national subject olympiads and knowledge competitions. After graduating from high school with excellent grades in 2016, he scored 613 points on the entrance exam and was admitted to UNEC for the “Accounting and Audit” program. He graduated in 2020 and was called up for military service.
Agil Mirzaliyev served in the Special Forces and was an active participant in the Second Patriotic War that began on September 27. He fought bravely in battles in the directions of Murovdag, Jabrayil, Fuzuli, and Hadrut. He was martyred during fierce battles in the village of Tugh, Khojavend, on October 20, 2020. He was buried on October 23 in the Martyrs’ Alley of Ismayilli.
After his death, he was posthumously awarded the “3rd Degree for Bravery” Order, as well as medals for “For the Motherland,” “Brave Fighter,” “For the Liberation of Kalbajar,” “For the Liberation of Khojavend,” and “For the Liberation of Fuzuli.”
