During his meeting with UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, the two discussed prospects for accelerating the development of joint academic programs between their institutions.
Professor Löschel, a distinguished European expert on environmental issues, also toured UNEC’s facilities, including the laboratories in Building No. 3, to gain a closer understanding of the university’s research infrastructure. Additionally, he engaged with UNEC’s faculty members and delivered a presentation titled“Pathways to Climate-Neutral Energy Systems.”
The seminar, organized by UNEC’s Department for the Coordination of Research Centers and the UNEC European Economics Center, was attended by researchers from UNEC and representatives from various higher education and scientific institutions in Azerbaijan.
In his remarks, Professor Löschel underscored the importance of COP29 as a platform for addressing climate change challenges and preventing its consequences. He expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s proactive leadership in tackling this global issue and shared key findings from his research on environmental protection.
The seminar was met with significant interest, with participants posing numerous questions that Professor Löschel addressed in detail.
