At the meeting, the Director of UNEC’s Examination Center, Tahir Badalov, delivered a presentation on the preparations for the 2024/2025 winter examination session. He announced that exams for specialized courses would be conducted in an electronic written format, while non-specialized courses would use a test-based approach. He also highlighted that during the examination session, the rector’s traditional “Open Door” days would be held every Saturday, and examination headquarters would be operational.
Associate Professor Shaig Asgarov, Vice-Rector for Administrative and Organizational Affairs, presented a report on the implementation of the approved Action Plan for the declaration of 2024 as the “Green UNEC” year. He noted that as part of the “Green UNEC” year, various international conferences, events, tree-planting campaigns, art competitions, sports tournaments, book presentations dedicated to environmental themes, and other activities had been organized.
Following this, Professors Yadulla Hasanli and Yashar Kalbiyev presented annual reports on the activities of the Dissertation Councils.
UNEC’s Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor Arabiyya Mustafayeva, provided information on the implementation status of the Scientific Council’s decisions for the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The session continued with the discussion of current issues.
The Scientific Council approved the establishment of the “UNEC Diplomacy Organization,” the “UNEC Inclusive Education Support Organization,” and the “UNEC Turkic World Youth Organization” based on student initiatives.
UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, emphasized that 2025 would mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the UNEC Inclusive Education Center. He highlighted that the university has created all necessary conditions to ensure that students with disabilities receive education.
At the meeting, the Scientific Council declared 2025 as the “UNEC Inclusive Education Year.”
