Event dedicated to the Results of the First Quarter of 2015 held at ASUE
Event dedicated to the results of the socio-economic development in the first quarter of 2015 and forthcoming tasks was held at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ASUE) on May 7.
Making an opening speech, Rector of ASUE, Dr Adalat Muradov Delivered detailed information about the meeting dedicated to the totals of the socio- economic development in the first quarter of 2015 of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by the President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev.
Head of the Department of Economics of the Cabinet of Ministers Apparatus of Azerbaijan Republic Shahin Sadigov informed the participants about the results gained in economic fields during the first quarter. He spoke about the amount of the capital put on separate sectors. Sh. Sadigov noted to the noticeable improvement in economic indicators in oil, construction and service sectors within the quarter. It was underlined that it would be possible to achieve the goals in priority areas, if the sustainable growth of non- oil industries had been provided. The speaker also touched upon the situation in the agricultural sector. He said increasing the value added ability in the above mentioned area; it would be possible to increase the employment and the productivity. Looking at all the economic indicators pointed the results of the first quarter were highlighted to be successful.
The impact of the latest global economic processes to the country’s budget, stability of the national currency and the export development trajectory were spoken about during the interactive discussions with the teaching and professor staff of ASUE at the second part of the event.
In conclusion, Rector, Dr Adalat Muradov noted that, the economic results of the first quarter give ground to say despite the crisis processes in the world economy, the country’s economy is developing successfully.
