WB’s Report on the country was heard at ASUE
April 10 the WB officials’ report was heard at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. The analysis of the economic indicators, development conception and projects of bilateral cooperation were spoken about during the meeting with the teaching and student staffs of the higher education institution.
The World Bank’s Regional Manager Larisa Leshinka, Head of Baku office Saida Baghirova, Operations Specialists Rufiz Chiraqzade and Head of the Azerbaijan Representation of the Financial Corporation Aliya Azimova spoke about the Bank’s Projects planned in Azerbaijan within 2015-2020s. Information about the GDP of the country and dynamics of the economic grows; per capita income statistics and situation in the national market over the years was delivered within the reports. It was stressed that the Azerbaijan’s economic policy took the right direction and the significant results will be achieved in the nearer future.
The implementation of the necessary tools to ensure sustainable economic development was spoken about during the meeting held in the form of interactive discussion. The participants’ questions were responded by the WB representatives.
