Documentary film “Target is Baku. How Hitler lost the War for Oil.” demonstrated at ASUE
The documentary film “Target is Baku. How Hitler lost the War for Oil.” was demonstrated at Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ASUE) on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 8.The film produced by the sponsorship of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is devoted to the 70th Anniversary of the victory over the facsism. The Head of the Project is Arzu Aliyeva, producer Lui Vodevil and the director is Robert Magnerot.
Making a speech before the demonstration, Dr of History, Professor Bahruz Abdullayev spoke about the inprecedented role of Baku oil in gaining the victory over the facsism. He underlined that, more than 70% of of oil spent by the USSR and 80% of petrol during the World War II fell on Baku. Professor emphasized the importance of the film about the heriosm of Azerbaijanis during the 1941- 1945 and protection of Baku of a major threat. He noted that, documents and historical chronics from differnt country’s archives were used for the film.
ASUE administration, Professor and teaching and student staffs of the university got great impressions of the film.
