Farhad Bayram oghlu Eminov
Born on July 28, 1953, in Gachagan village, Marneuli district, Republic of Georgia, is a distinguished scholar with extensive experience in geography and economics.
He completed his secondary education in 1971.
From 1971 to 1976, he pursued higher education at the Faculty of Geology and Geography at Azerbaijan State University (now Baku State University). Upon graduation, he was assigned to the Institute of Geography of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences as a junior specialist.
Between 1976 and 1989, Dr. Eminov held various roles at the Institute of Geography. From 1979 to 1983, he pursued part-time postgraduate studies, culminating in the successful defense of his candidate dissertation in 1987, which earned him the academic degree of Candidate of Geographical Sciences (Ph.D.).
From 1989 to 1992, he served as a senior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute of Economics under the State Planning Committee of Azerbaijan. Subsequently, between 1992 and 2001, he held prominent positions in the State Planning and Economic Committee, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, including Head of the Apparatus, Assistant to the Prime Minister, and Deputy Head of Department.

In 2001, Dr. Eminov joined the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), initially serving as a senior lecturer in the “Economic Geography” department. Later, he transitioned to the “Environmental Protection and Economics” department, where he currently holds the position of Associate Professor.
From 2009 to 2012, he also served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of General Economics.
Dr. Eminov is the author of numerous scientific and methodological works, contributing significantly to his fields of expertise.
He is married and has two children.
