Abil Jabizada
Abil Jabizada was born on February 26, 1993, in Sumgayit, Azerbaijan. From 2000 to 2011, he attended the secondary school No. 7 in the Jorat settlement of Sumgayit, graduating with honors. The same year, he enrolled at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), specializing in the “Technology and Design of General-Use Products” within the Faculty of Technology and Design. After graduating in 2015, he began his military service.
Recognized for his exceptional weapon-handling skills, he was appointed as a lead marksman. He participated in the April battles, where he fulfilled his combat missions with significant success and was awarded multiple certificates of commendation for his valor. He completed his military service in October 2016.
On September 21, 2020, in accordance with the laws “On Military Duty and Military Service” and “On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization” of the Republic of Azerbaijan, he was called for training. Starting on September 27, he fought in the Patriotic War for the liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied territories. He took part in the battles for the liberation of Jabrayil and Fuzuli, showing exceptional bravery in the liberation of the Khudafarin Bridge. On October 14, 2020, he was martyred during a mission in the direction of Zogalbulag village, Khojavend district.
Abil Jabizada was laid to rest in the Alley of Martyrs in Sumgayit.
Following his sacrifice, he was posthumously awarded the “For the Motherland,” “For the Liberation of Jabrayil,” and “For the Liberation of Fuzuli” medals.
