24th Anniversary of Khojali Genocide has been held in the School of Commodity Research
Event dedicated to the 24th anniversary of Khojali massacre has been held in the Faculty of Commodity Research of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC). Head of the Department Examination of the Consumer Products, Professor Ali Hasanov noted the Khojali events as one of the biggest tragedies of the XX Century after the minute’s silence in memory of the victims of genocide.
The Faculty Dean, Assistant Professor Tofig Osmanov especially emphasized the activities carried out in the direction of the recognition of massacre according to international standards and international law within the campaign “Justice for Khojali” by public authorities and supported by Azerbaijan government.
Head of the Department Azerbaijan History, Professor Hidayat Jafarov has spoken about the underlying problems, their sources, aims to target the town of Khojali by Armenians, the atrocities committed during by incident, specifically talked about the details of mass genocide carried out with torture and cruelty.
Poems about Khojali massacre performed by the student were sounded and the documentary film was demonstrated.
