On December 16-17, 2024, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) will host the First International Conference of Researchers in Economics and Social Sciences (ICRESS – 2024) on the topic “Trends of the Modern Era: Green Economy and Sustainable Development.”
The conference, organized by the Faculty of Economics and Management, aims to contribute to the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World,” COP-29, and the “Green UNEC” initiative.
To participate in the conference, articles on relevant topics (in Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian, or English) should be submitted to [email protected] by November 1, 2024.
The conference sections cover the following topics:
- Green development and transformation towards a green economy
- Green economy and innovations
- Environmental sustainability and competitive economy
- Green governance and a socially prosperous society
- Renewable energy and ecological resilience
- Ecological sustainability and green management
- Green economy and regional governance
- Statistical evaluation of sustainable development and the green economy
- Education, human capital, and inclusivity
Article Submission Guidelines:
- Articles should be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 pages.
- The title of the paper should be written in Times New Roman, font size 14, with the first letters of each word capitalized, bold, and centered.
- Author details (first name, middle name, last name, workplace, email address, and contact number) should be written in Times New Roman, font size 12, bold, and centered below the title.
- The main text of the article should be in Times New Roman, font size 12, with a line spacing of 1.15 and paragraph spacing of 6 pt before and after. Leave one blank line after each heading.
- Each article should include an abstract in the language of the article, as well as in English.
- Abstracts should be a minimum of 150 and a maximum of 200 words, written in Times New Roman, font size 12, with a line spacing of 1.15, justified.
- The article should include 3 to 5 keywords. Keywords in English should also be provided after the English abstract.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet the outlined requirements, are deemed irrelevant, or do not align with the conference’s themes.
Only articles presented live or online will be published in the conference proceedings. Abstracts of all accepted articles will be included in the “Abstracts Collection.” Articles that fail plagiarism checks will not be accepted.
