The UNEC Women Researchers Council and the University of Michigan’s Institute for Research on Women and Gender are jointly organizing the WRC Annual International Forum 2024, which will be held online on December 10, 2024, at 18:00 Baku time (15:00 CET).
The forum aims to promote gender equality and highlight the contributions of women in academia, business, and society by exploring innovative approaches and strategies. Bringing together renowned scholars, thought leaders, and gender equality advocates from around the world, the event will feature participants from over 40 countries.
The opening ceremony will include a keynote address by Melinda Price, Director of the Institute for Research on Women and Gender at the University of Michigan and Professor of Women and Gender Studies. Her presentation, titled “Women Empowerment in Academia and Challenges,” will set the tone for the forum’s discussions.
The event will also include panel discussions and interactive Q&A sessions featuring distinguished researchers and professors such as Ramona Rupeika-Apoga from the University of Latvia, Monika Garai Fodor from Óbuda University, and Kiran Sood from Chitkara University.
The WRC Annual International Forum 2024 serves as a global platform to share transformative ideas on strengthening women’s roles in science and society. Its organizational significance lies in shaping strategic perspectives on gender equality in academia, business, and other relevant fields, while paving the way for increased participation of women across diverse sectors.
