The official ceremony marking this achievement was attended by the Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, Ulkar Sattarova, Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, Tural Ahmadov, FIBAA Executive Director, Diane Freiberger, members of the delegation, and university representatives.
In his address, the Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov, underscored the immense pride associated with obtaining international accreditation, emphasizing the alignment of the university’s education programs with global quality standards. He further highlighted that the master’s programs have been granted unconditional accreditation for a period of five years.
Speaking at the event, the Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, Ulkar Sattarova, commended this notable achievement, stressing its role in providing valuable international experience to the university. Ms. Sattarova also remarked that the formal presentation of the certificates by FIBAA leadership signifies both a milestone in UNEC’s efforts to enhance its international relations and an affirmation of FIBAA’s support for the institution.
The Chairman of the Board of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, Tural Ahmadov, elaborated on the significance of the accreditation, noting its contribution to UNEC’s development and internationalization. Mr. Ahmadov further emphasized the importance of fostering and expanding cooperation between the Agency and the university.
In her remarks, FIBAA Executive Director Diane Freiberger delivered an overview of FIBAA’s mission and activities, highlighting its role as a member of ENQA (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education) and an internationally recognized authority in higher education accreditation and quality assurance. Ms. Freiberger noted that FIBAA has accredited over 1,900 academic programs in countries including Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, China, India, Russia, the United States, Switzerland, Romania, Slovenia, and others.
The event concluded with the official presentation of the international accreditation certificates by FIBAA Executive Director Diane Freiberger to the Rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov.
