First birthday in heaven: Majidzade Teymur
October 10 was the birthday of Teymur Majidzade, a graduate of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), martyr of the Patriotic War, who rose to the height of martyrdom for the freedom of Karabakh. If he had lived, he would have been 29 years old.
Martyr Teymur Majidzade’s birthday event was organized by the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov at the Training Center of the Azerbaijan Army. Along with family members of the martyr, associate professor Elchin Eyvazov, dean of UNEC’s Faculty of Economics, Rufat Suleymanli, chairman of UNEC’s Student Trade Union Committee, deputy deans, friends of the martyr and military comrades took part in the event.
At the event organized at the Training and Education Center of the Azerbaijan Army, the memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence and the National Anthem was played.
The speakers talked about the love of the country and the way of war of the senior lieutenant Teymur Majidzadeh. A video about the martyr’s life path was shown at the event. The family members of the martyr expressed gratitude for the attention and care shown to them.
At the end of the ceremony, patriotic musical numbers were performed by the soloists of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov.
Later, the UNEC team paid tribute to the dear memory of the martyr and laid wreaths and flowers in front of his grave.
Teymur Majidzadeh was born on October 10, 1992, in the village of Yeghegozlu, Fuzuli district. After the occupation of his region in 1993, Teymur’s family moved to Baku.
In 2010-2014, Teymur Majidzade studied at the Faculty of World Economy of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and graduated with high marks.
Teymur Majidzade, who completed his military service in the Border Guards, aims to serve in the military unit. He serves as an officer in the army, rising to the rank of first lieutenant. During the Second Karabakh War, Teymur Majidzade goes to his native village. Teymur’s perfect knowledge of the map of Azerbaijan allowed him to choose the right battle positions. Senior Lieutenant Teymur Majidzade, as a result of his smart and thoughtful actions and confident application of his acquired military knowledge, managed to get 104 soldiers of the battalion out of the siege and take a new combat position in the direction of Shusha without any losses.
On November 9, 2020, on the 43rd day of the Patriotic War, hours before the capture of Shusha, Teymur Majidzade was heroically martyred in the battles for Khojavend-Shusha. He is buried in III Fakhri Khiyaban.
After his death, he was awarded the medals “For the Fatherland”, “For the liberation of Jabrayil”, “For the liberation of Fuzuli”, “For the liberation of Shusha”, “For military services”.
