Meeting with rector of UNEC, Professor Adalat Muradov, the diplomat spoke about the development of relations between friendly and neighbor countries Azerbaijan and Georgia and spoke about the large-scale projects implemented between the two countries. Noting his first visit being to UNEC among Azerbaijani universities, the ambassador spoke about the prospects of cooperation with the Georgian higher educational institutions. The diplomat stated that UNEC has great potential in this direction.
The rector Adalat Muradov informed the ambassador that technical and technological qualifications are also being taught along with economic specialties at UNEC- the South Caucasian greatest economic university and spoke about the dual diploma programs of the university on bachelor’s and master’s degree with leading universities of England, France, Switzerland and Lithuania. Noting strong cooperation of UNEC with Turkey and Russia’s universities, A. Muradov said that he was interested in developing relations with Georgia in this direction.
The rector also spoke about the UNEC Zagatala branch. Referring to the fact that the branch operates in the area close to Georgia, the rector also noted the possibility of teaching Georgian language at the Zagatala branch.
During the meeting, discussions were held on student-teacher exchanges, joint researches, publication of textbooks and books and holding conferences and seminars between UNEC and Georgian universities. There was exchange of views on the possibilities of the students studying in Georgia to join UNEC dual diploma programs, the organization of summer and winter schools at the university’s Guba Training, Sport and Recreation Complex.
