Graduates of the University of Economics celebrate their 50th anniversary at UNEC
The 1974 graduates of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) celebrated their 50th anniversary at the university where they studied.
The graduates of the 964th group of the Faculty of Commodities first laid a wreath in front of the memorial complex erected in memory of the martyred students and graduates of UNEC and honoured the dear memory of the martyrs.
Then, the old graduates met UNEC Rector Professor Adalat Muradov over a tea table and shared their sincere and interesting memories of their student days. Prof. Adalat Muradov expressed his satisfaction to see the graduates at UNEC and emphasized the importance of continuing this tradition.
The Rector stated that the UNEC Alumni Association was created for UNEC graduates to participate closely in the public and social life of the university, to unite them on a single platform, and pointed out that the UNEC Alumni Forum will be held. Saying that June 19, when the University of Economics was founded, is celebrated as “UNEC Day”, the rector invited the old graduates to the university’s founding day.
After the tea party, the graduates visited the Museum of UNEC. Safar Aliyev, who presented the carpet with engraved photos of graduates to the museum, wrote his heartfelt words in the Museum’s memorial notebook. The old graduates left UNEC with good impressions after getting acquainted with the Reading Hall and the Bloomberg financial laboratory.
