Economic Reforms are discussed at UNEC
The world’s well-known economist experts have visited Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) within the framework of the performance of working group established to process the development plans in accordance with the “Main Directions of the Strategic Roadmap of the National Economy and Main Sectors of the Economy”. The urgent issues of Azerbaijan economy were discussed and proposals were made at the seminar held by the guests with UNEC experts.
Ways of developing country’s import potential were the main matter discussed. Experts especially pointed out the necessity of preparation of the “roadmap” to evaluate and develop possible potential in service field. Export issues in construction sector were brought up to the agenda. As the reason the overseas experts brought the highly competitive personnel working in the field of construction in Azerbaijan.
The development of small and medium- sized entrepreneurship was focused on and the importance of organizing professional trainings for the management of the field was noted. They underlined the significance of directing finished goods to export in Azerbaijan.
Tax code and tax burden were the main issues discussed in the meeting. The experts also carried out assessments of Azerbaijan’s banking sector and shared their views. Considerations on the role of banks in economy and the necessity of this sector in the improvement of it were heard. The role of country’s banks in taking efficient economic decisions was discussed in the end.
